University Student Scholarship - OGA Classroom Educator Course with Practice/Internship Component

The Reading and Learning Clinic of Manitoba focuses upon teachers and professionals of the future with our University student scholarship for the Classroom Educator OGA training and practice.

Post-Secondary Student Scholarship

Björn and Virginia Björnson were committed to working hard and encouraging those around them to ‘do all the good you can, by all the means you can.’ Their children hope that this award will support others to reach for the best in themselves.

Orton-Gillingham Resources and Materials Grant

The Reading and Learning Clinic would like to support those who are OG trained with Orton-Gillingham based resources and materials to support the implementation of OG in various contexts.

Tutoring Scholarship

The RLCM offers significantly reduced fees for students to work with our Tutor-Interns with the Scholarship-Internship program.

Teacher Scholarship for Orton-Gillingham Practicum

The Reading and Learning Clinic of Manitoba is committed to the utmost fidelity and quality with its training. We are offering an annual teacher scholarship for those who wish to pursue excellence in professional development.

Classroom Educator Training - Parent Participation

The Reading and Learning Clinic of Manitoba believes in the power of families to be informed and knowledgeable in order to support our students with dyslexia. To this end, we reserve one seat (discounted from $800 value) for one parent to attend our Classroom Educator courses on an application process.

Recognizing Excellence

The RLCM will award an annual recognition award ($500 value) to a teacher who has exemplified passion, skill, and commitment to students with LD including reading, writing, and/or math disabilities.

Evidence of teacher practice:

  • Use of science of reading, structured literacy, and Orton-Gillingham implementation in public school

  • attending professional development which has focused on science of reading, structured literacy, and Orton-Gillingham implementation

  • testimony of colleague, parent, and/or school regarding change influence of teacher

  • Deadline – May 1 annually
